Laguna Candles founder Sharie Hendricks has always had a passion for candles.  In the year 2003 she conceived Laguna Candles, which is located in the beautiful, coastal city of Laguna Beach, California where each summer the world renowned Laguna Beach Art Festival is held. Sharie and family have lived in this artsy town for the past twelve years. 

Laguna Candles was founded on the concept of eco-friendly products and clean burning candles that would not harm the environment or the home.  Based on our research soy candles were the only choice. Our candles have extraordinary scents derived from essential oils with lead free wicks and beautifully packaged. 

Sharie’s husband three daughters and grandchild have all played an important role in the company’s success. Laguna Candles will continue to expand a line of eco-friendly accessories for home and personal and look forward to continually providing beautiful, innovative gifts that warm our hearts, make our homes a more beautiful place to live and protect our environment.    

Laguna Candles Lights The Way To A Cure

As with all innovative companies there is more to the story than meets the eye.  Laguna Candles is devoted to promoting a cancer awareness initiative for both men and women, through it’s “Light The Way To A Cure” campaign.  During a moment of deep reflection the founder, Sharie Hendricks,  realized that a number of her family members had passed away as a result of cancer.  One of her female cousins, a brother, and her paternal father had all died of some form of cancer.  Her step father has been living with cancer for several years and more recently another close member of the family was diagnosed with prostate cancer.  

It was this sobering thought that compelled Sharie to commit a portion of the proceeds from the sale of our products to further “The Cancer Awareness Initiative”.  We will donate $1.00 from the sell of each product on this website to underfunded, innovative research into the cause and cure of cancer.  We insure you that our products are made from natural beeswax or pure soy, our wicks are lead free and our products contain no chemicals that may cause cancer.
